About Us

Meet Deb Young, L.Ac, AP

If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”    ~Nikola Tesla

Deb YoungHi! I’m Deb Young, a licensed Acupuncturist in New Hampshire and Florida.   With over 40 years of study and experience in Eastern Medicine, Western Science, Spirituality and Mindfulness, I offer a comprehensive integrated approach to healing that addresses not only your physical health, but also your mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

I have a unique treatment style I call Geo-Tonic Acupuncture, where I combine the principles of traditional acupuncture, the powerful energy patterns of sacred geometry, the vibrational sound frequency of tuning forks, the crystal infrared energy of the BioMat, with guided relaxation and mindfulness. These transformational energy sessions provide an opportunity for deep healing as you restore and balance the body, mind, and spirit. In addition to Acupuncture sessions, I offer Chinese Herbal Medicine and Supplements, Functional Medicine testing, Wellness and Spiritual counseling, and teach self-healing energy practices of Qigong and meditation.

My intension is to be a partner in your healing journey, reconnecting YOU with your inner guidance, and restoring balance to all areas of your health and happiness – Body, Mind, and Spirit!

When you hire me as your Acupuncturist, you can absolutely expect:

  • I will provide a compassionate healing space where you are supported in your sessions.
  • I will listen to your history, expectations, and concerns with an open, attentive heart so you feel cared for and heard.
  • I will share my knowledge and insight so you can make confident choices about your health and healing, based on understanding how your thoughts, feelings, and physical symptoms are connected.

My Journey

My love of science and the human body began when I was eight years old and got a microscope for Christmas.  I took every science class my high school offered which amazingly included classes in Genetics, Parasitology, Embryology, and plenty of opportunities to cut things apart and look under a microscope.  I went on to study Laboratory Medicine at the University of Michigan, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology.  I worked at a Medical Technologist in hospital and clinic labs for 13 years.  I loved being able to run tests and find out what was wrong with people, but when I started experiencing some health challenges of my own, I saw the limitations of the Western medical system, with a narrow focus on test results and drug treatment options, and not much interest on determining the root cause of my problems or all the factors that may be contributing. I knew there had to be a different, more holistic, approach to achieve physical health and emotional happiness.

I began researching “alternative” healing modalities and was guided to the energy balancing practices of Qigong and meditation.  I was fortunate to be living in Austin, Texas and soon found myself studying Medical Qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine at AOMA Graduate School of Integrated Medicine. After my first class, I knew I had finally found a holistic system of healing I could embrace that was based on treating the whole person, body, mind, and spirit. I graduated in 2007 with a Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and additional certification in Medical Qigong and Tuina Asian Bodywork.

After 11 years of a fulfilling solo practice in Jacksonville, Florida, I relocated to Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire, to spend time with family and look for more collaborative integrative work opportunities. I am delighted to be a part of the Mount Washington Valley Health Collective in North Conway and Sacred Shared Space in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
